My name is Talline Carvalho and I am the proud owner of the Talline Carvalho Insurance Agency inc, located at 8 Locust Avenue in Danbury CT. I have been with State Farm for 20 years, and was given the opportunity to open my agency in January of 2005. I am so glad for this opportunity, not only because I have my own business, but also because I do what I love, which is helping people. I am an immigrant from Brazil who came to this country alone in search of the American dream. It wasn’t always easy, as my whole family is back in Brazil, but I knew that with hard work and perseverance, I would succeed. My parents thought me that when there is difficulty, there is reward, and that with humility and ethics, we can be whatever we want and achieve all of our dreams. I like to say that much of my success is attributed to my family’s support. If you asked me 22 years ago when I was boarding the plane to come to the US, if I thought I would ever be a business owner, I would say no, but anything is possible.

I cannot see myself doing anything else. This opportunity has been one of the greatest things that has happened in my life (just not better than becoming a mom). To be able to provide for my family while helping people manage the risks of everyday life, recover from the unexpected, and achieve their dreams, is a great thing.
